HOW PRICING
ACTUALLY WORKS

Most digitizing services quote a flat rate and let the file quality sort itself out. We do it differently — review first, price second.

Four Steps

01
You submit your file
Upload your artwork in any format — JPG, PNG, PDF, AI, sketch, whatever you have. Add your instructions: placement, fabric, machine format, deadline.
02
We review it manually
A human looks at your file — not a calculator. We assess stitch complexity, path work, size, fabric requirements, and how long it actually takes to do correctly.
03
Price appears in your dashboard
Your confirmed price shows up in your order. No email, no back-and-forth. You see it clearly and decide whether to proceed.
04
You approve — we start
Work only begins after you approve the price. Nothing gets started without your confirmation. File delivered in 2–12 hours from that point.

What Affects the Price

Design complexity & detail levelA simple text logo and a highly-detailed mascot character are not the same amount of work. Complexity is the biggest pricing factor.
Size & placement areaA 3-inch left chest logo and a 14-inch jacket back take very different amounts of time to build correctly.
Fabric & technique requirements3D puff, towel/high-pile, and specialty fabrics require different file structures than standard flat embroidery.
Stitch count & path structureFor embroidery, stitch count directly correlates with file complexity and machine run time.
Number of color stops & layersMulti-color designs with tight color registration take longer to digitize or vector correctly.
Input file qualityA high-res clean source speeds things up. A blurry photo of a business card adds time to the rebuild — this may be reflected in the price.

VECTOR ART
DESIGN PRICING

Vector pricing is driven by how much manual path work is required. A clean source file costs less than a blurry phone photo — but both are workable.

  • Basic shapes, simple icons
  • 1–3 color, clean source file

Tier 02
Standard Vector

Tier 03
Complex Vector
$35–$50
High detail · Color separation
  • High-detail artwork or illustration
  • Screen print color separations
  • Apparel back print or full design
  • 6+ spot colors with trapping
  • Precision path balancing

Tier 04
Highly Complex
$50–$150+
Custom illustration · Multi-use package
  • Complex custom illustration
  • Multi-use production package
  • Large-format / full coverage
  • Fine art or high-fidelity redraw
  • Multiple derived output formats
Real examples Full illustration from a sketch, complete brand asset package in 5+ formats, large detailed apparel back with separations
Input quality note: The ranges above assume reasonably usable source files. If your source is a very low-res image, a blurry phone photo, or an unusually difficult trace, pricing may be toward the higher end of the range. We'll always confirm before starting.

WHY WE DON'T
USE FLAT RATES

Flat-rate pricing sounds simple. In practice, it means you either overpay for easy jobs or get a rushed file on a complex one. Neither is good.

⚖️
You pay for the actual work
A simple text logo takes 20 minutes to digitize correctly. A jacket back with a detailed mascot takes 2–3 hours. Charging the same for both would mean overcharging you on one and underpaying attention on the other.
🎯
Quality isn't cut to fit a price
When a job is priced correctly for its complexity, it gets the time it needs — proper stitch density, correct underlay, clean paths. Flat-rate shops cut corners when the job takes longer than expected.
🔒
No surprises after delivery
You see the price before work starts and you approve it. There are no revision charges added later, no "complexity surcharges" after the file lands in your dashboard. What you approved is what you pay.

PRICING
QUESTIONS

The ranges on this page are real guidelines — use the tier descriptions to get a rough idea of where your design lands. But an exact price requires seeing the actual file. Submit it via the dashboard and you'll have a confirmed price within a few hours, no commitment required.
You're not obligated to proceed. If the confirmed price doesn't work for you, you can decline and no work will be done. No charge, no pressure. We'd rather lose a job than start work you didn't want at the price quoted.
Revisions based on mistakes we made are included at no charge. If you want changes beyond the original brief — new size, color changes, design adjustments — those are handled as edit requests in the dashboard and priced based on the scope of the change, typically small amounts.
Most designs are reviewed and priced within 2–4 hours during active hours. Complex or unusual jobs may take a bit longer. You'll see the price appear directly in your dashboard order — no need to wait for an email.
From the moment you approve the price. The 2–12 hour turnaround window starts when we receive your confirmation. For most standard designs it's well within 12 hours — often the same day.
If you're regularly sending high volumes of work — multiple jobs per week — reach out via the dashboard contact form and we can discuss a standing arrangement. Volume pricing is handled on a case-by-case basis.
Yes — you can submit both service types as separate orders from your dashboard. Each is reviewed and priced independently. If you regularly need both on the same artwork, mention it in your instructions and we'll coordinate them.
